John brings real life examples, including his own experience living in a multiracial couple and family within the Northwest region of the United States. His combination of professional knowledge and personal experience makes for an inspiring and informative training.

Imago (latin for the word ‘image’) is a form of couples treatment which stresses deepening the understanding of individual core issues which affect the connection within the partnership.

  • Imago informs each individual of their role in the partnership, marriage, or understanding and how each brings with them a profound influence upon the relationship;
  • Imago informs about the affects and contributions of brain functioning; understanding of the role of emotional memory;
  • Teaches a critical skill of essential couples communication: the intentional dialogue;
  • Romancing as a connective tool to maintaining couples bond and connection;

Imago includes the use of humor and mutual respect to deepen and enhance the therapy session. Couples are encouraged to maintain their weekly growth thru at-home-exercises which are both fun and challenging. The use of interactive sessions, options to have sessions filmed for learning thru observation, and John’s ability to create a safe environment makes Imago a transformative experience.
